A mixture of more overtaking opportunities removing the desperation and random chance. Monaco was always like to pose a bigger safety car risk, as annoying as safety cars are. We saw with the red flag a much fairer re-start (with the exception of the rules allowing tyres and other parts to be changed and replaced).

I must commend the Monaco marshals incidentally for their top work. The removal of Maldonado's car was rapid!
