While viewing numbers have been overall much the same as last year, with a second broadcaster they should in theory be growing?
Pay per view is likely to have an effect on the number of casual viewers in the longer term because of less visibility.

Martin is being very politically correct, viewership being roughly the same overall IS positive, no sponsor could complain at that. The BBC, however, is still the dominant broadcaster and from what I've seen still does the far better job overall, even without Brundle.
Wait until it goes totally PPV. Then I think you may see a change of mind from team owners as F1 would become a totally niche sport in this country.
