Yeah easy to overlook his drive, but Webber was 0.5sec a lap slower on average, and a long way behind. Vettel also made some good passes in the race considering his car's lack of speed on the straight. Webber couldn't pass even slower cars.
It's easy looking at Alonso and seeing the drive he gets off the final corner and does an easy pass down the main straight, but Vettel seemed to have to do most of his the hard way. I wonder if he'd have held off Alonso for the rest of the race if they didn't bring him in a lap later.
Vettel did a bit of an Alonso drive from last year - finished 3rd even though Massa and Grosjean should both have been ahead on car pace.
