Yeah, probably. But I think both classes are basically the same when it comes to freedom in modifying/building the cars.The only obvious difference is maybe on the horsepower/power-to-weight ratio.

Only criticisms from me is that the GT-R could have used a turbocharged engine rather than NA (at least you can relate to the road going cars), and the presence of seriously outdated cars like the Mazda RX-7 , Honda NSX & Porsche Boxster (not that the car's running pace is outdated, just appearance wise).
