Hi Tim,

Terry Davis sent me FIA form 5544-73 with some Gp2 bits.

The problem with historic rallying is that you can't interpret the period FIA Appendix J now, you have to prove 'period use'.

In period, any floorpan mods would have been allowed so compression struts, long radius arms, watts linkage, addition coil-over springs in tall rear turrets, diff tunnel etc. all would have been allowed and all contributed to the Mk1 Escort's success.

I can find no period proof of any of that for the RX3 and the Gp2 papers contain none of that since it was free. Without period proof of proper suspension the RX3's light weight and good engine cannot be exploited.
