Maybe it is because they used to run their round in early December and this year as they have the Wigram revival meeting the 1st weekend of November and the finals for the Super tourers now added to their calendar for the last weekend of November that they felt that they could not run another meeting a week or so later.
Volunteers, and they are the ones who man the meeting and make it possible are finding it harder each day to get time off work to support their passion and three big meetings in such a short period of time would be one hellava drain on resources. One also needs to remember that Chch is going though a very tough time due to a shortage of so many facilities that one would normally take for granted and this too may have come into part of the considerations
It would have been Canterbury Car Club's choice when they sat around the negotiation table.
