They also arguably got a bit too big for their boots when thinking if they got the bill extended from 2 to 3 days they might get a sniff at a GP. That was never really on the cards but it didn't stop the local and specialist press banging on about it.
God I still miss it all though - even late Stephane Proulx nearly bursting my left ear drum when he stopped alongside me (out of vision) when I was facing straight ahead - my ears didn't fancy it much when he did a massive tyre warming burn out and the DFV hitting it's 9000 rpm limit!!!
