It's never been any different. No driver wins a title without a fantastic car at his disposal. It's what a driver does with the equipment at his disposal. Had Vettel not been in the Red Bull and Webber been lead driver then chances are that by now, Red Bull would have no constructors championships, Alonso would have 5 titles and Button 2.
