I think that sentiment might change if they don't actually have to develop all that many bespoke parts for DTM, i.e. if they could drop their GT2-engine into a spec-chassis and add a silhouette with limited aero (hence less time in the wind tunnel), the expenses might suddenly be justifiable, even if the car can only run in one series.
