Jim Evans was first mentioned late in the 1973 season in a 1.3 Escort, presumably the one for sale. In 1974 he raced (another) a 2.0 Escort with a Neil Brown-prepared Holbay engine (was it a twin cam?) which had a turbo. This with a factor of 1.4 would explain the 2.8 engine size quoted in some reports. At Cadwell Park it competed without a turbo in order to remain under the 2.0 limit there.
Stuart Turner was racing an Escort in April 1973 with an FVA engine i.e. before XOO 346F was advertised in MN. Did he have two Escorts?
