5.5.1.a Stock Hatch cars are 2-wheel drive four seater
hatchbacks that must meet the definition of a series
production car since 1/1/95. For avoidance of doubt
this means any model/type that ceased production
before 31/12/94 is not permitted..

my shell is about a 92 but mk3 astra was mass produced up untill 97 so does that mean i can use it?

just fit a 1600cc engine instead of the 2.0 ?? theres no engine in it now ?

thanks in adance
Ref above:
For you car to race in stockhatch then it cannot have more than 2 valves per cylinder, therefore must be an 8v car. I assume the Astra is 16v therefore wont comply?

If they are 16v 1600 cc cars then they are Hot Hatch then the following applies:
5.5.1.c Hot Hatch
The cars permitted are:
Any Stock Hatch vehicle that must meet the definition
of a Series Production Car since 31 December 2001,
as defined in MSA Nomenclature and Definitions (2011
MSA Blue Book, Section B on page 62) and have more
than two valves per cylinder.
Competitors must be able to produce proof of the age
requirement for the make and model of vehicle.

The best class for you and your car would be the modified 2000cc class.

See BTRDA site for regs and info.

Have also PM'd
