In America, we only subsidize industries that suit the wealthy. The rail system's left to fend on it's own, which it absolutely can't do.
But cut the subsidies to the airlines? Blasphemy! How else will corporate execs hop from meeting to meeting if we don't have half-empty planes flying overhead constantly?
