Well if you want to come face-to-face with drivers, get a pit pass. Although I don't know what your chances are of actually interacting with them.
Richmond's a nice track. You can see all the way around. I personally would sit toward the entrance of turn 1, that way you're closer to the turns and can see all the pit action.
