Okay, I can understand the vents to let air in but that means fumes would also get inside. Surely it would also necessitate vents at the rear to let the air flow through properly.
I mentioned air-con earlier and Jason Hill said units added to vehicle weight and robbed power. Correct, but if we are talking parity then surely wweight and power become non-issues because all the cars would still weigh the same and develop similar amounts of kilowatts and torque..
Back in the 70s people reckoned Bob Jane was mad for running power steering on his Camaro. The stopped laughing when he kicked their butts and now no self-respecting V8 Supercar driver would run without it.
What I'm getting at here is that if the drivers, teams, AVESCO and CAMS are really concerned about car comfort levels then they should just make the changes and be damned.
With the roof vents I can see the next arguments centring around "vent aero" advantages!
