I did in fact, own a Marina for a few short weeks (needs must). It did humankind a great favour late one Sunday night on the A1 near St neots, when the engine blew up big time.
It was still running so I carried on in an orderly manner until stopped by a 'boy in blue' who passed the comment that perhaps the car was trying to tell me something.
My other great service to humankind was putting a Maestro on its roof.
