I lived and worked in Wanneroo when it was announced that the permanent circuit was moving from Cavesham to the "sand dunes" north east of Wanneroo , an area that was difficult to access well before the inclusion of the racing circuit (the locals just shook their heads) ; the alternative was a good location , ex Army land about 10km west of Northam and just off the Highway .
