Podium is a realistic target, IMO. Not sure what the experience of GT racing will give a hybrid LMP1 team...I'm sure it will be of some value, but the only thing they'll have in common is the tarmac they race on.
Reliability in tests is one thing, but Audi found out the hard way in the R15 that there's only so much you can learn in a private test.
