Philip Venables should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Blue car is not the Gordini, it is a 1500 OSCA, driven by a German, named Rettenmier. he and his brother have raced pre war MG's and one has a Maserati 250F. Leco driven by American, Alex Quatllebaum, cream sports car is an Elva Mk3, MG belongs to Mike Allison, driven by daughter, Jane Metcalfe.
A very good days sport, only 3 accidents to bother us scrutineers. Sorry but I was too busy to catch up with any Ten Tenths people, with scrutineering, and watching son Jarrah in his first pre-war car, and first pre selector gearbox. The 15 year old tyres were slow in practise, but he finished 4th, from 19th on grid.
