So they should better the show, than rather "promoting talents". I think Paul di Resta was last Talent, who was promoted from DTM to F1, but not really because of DTM-title.

Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard are more recognised names and might be better overall brand ambassadors to Mercedes and DTM than Pascal Wehrlein or Dani Juncadella, but how did the likes of DC or RSC cruising around in midfield help make the "show" any better?
In fact, BMW, Audi and Mercedes have all realised they can do better than just blindly following the lowest common denominator, and they should be applauded for that.
DTM is doing a good enough job at aping F1 to the extreme, no need to have the washed-out F1 stars on the top of it.
