Yes, that's true. But to have a Mercedes AMG ICE + complete driveline + ERS etc. would cost Lotus just under 75% of what it costs them now to use Renault ICE + RBT gearbox + ERS etc. It would definitely ease the purse stings a little bit for Lotus to use Mercedes AMG next year.
