One final instalment before winter hibernation …… there were two races for Scottish Classics
on 30th October, at a non-championship Knockhill Motor Sports Club (KMSC) race meeting.
This event was run as a trial, in preparation for KMSC organising a “Classic Speed Fair” in 2012.
Twenty-three entrants enjoyed un-seasonally fine weather, especially Andy Smith,
who continued his dominant form by winning both races. Newcomers included Thomas Dailey (Morgan 4/4);
Ross Marshall, driving his father’s Ford Escort; and Steve Uphill (Alfasud Sprint).
2012 has the potential to be as good – if not a better year than 2011 – for the enthusiastic group of drivers in their diverse range of machinery.
