My wife recently changed her Golf VR6 for a Golf Mk4 GT TDi 150. This is a great car, quicker than the VR6 without a doubt and regularly does 50mpg. Compare the torque figures with petrol cars and you can see why the Golf is so quick, it has more torque than a Boxster S.
