Race 9 - HSCC/FJHRA Millers Oils Historic FJ Championship

Great to hear from you, Louise!

Last race of the meeting and this was a great grid of 40 FJ cars of all types. Not sure that 4 pics will do it justice. In this photo, the eventual winner, Michael Hibberd in his Lotus 27 (51) lies 3rd. Just in front of him is Robin Longdon in his Lola Mk5A who eventuallly finished 4th. The leader here is Mark Woodhouse in his Lotus 20 who had a superb duel with Hibberd and was but a tenth behind at the flag, whilst on the back is Barry Westmoreland's Lotus 22 which finished 3rd:-

Running wide is Richard Utley in his Caravelle Mk1 (23rd). On his inside Paul Hewes, Lotus 18 (22nd), Jan Biekins, Stangellini (27th) and Roger Dexter's Elva 100 (DNF):-

Tim Bishop's rare Sauter finished 20th, whilst on his inside is the Gemini Mk2 (believe me, it is!) of Keith Roach who finished 21st:-

Roger Dexter lifts a wheel!:-
