That's excellent! We are getting closer. James King says that he has paperwork for the sale of both his B27s, including chassis numbers and may well be able to identify the buyers. When he gets back to USA from Goodwood next week he'll make this a priority.
By process of elimination Callaway's car can "only" be one of the King/Shierson cars [the car that James destroyed at Mosport seems to have been rebuilt by the team later and used by Vince Muzzin], or the Freeman Racing car [if that wasn't in any case what Shierson bought for King as a replacement]. It can't be an ex Opert car.
Also, I have a good picture of Callaway in the car at a very wet practice session at Mosport in 1975. If you PM me your email address I will send you a scan.
Incidentally, the next owner could have been any one of Christ, Scott or Cooney.
Christ's first appearance just allows him to have bought the car, and Callaway probably sold it to fund a new B34 Atlantic in 1976.
