I must disagree. The ALMS can call itself a World Championship with out the blessing of the FIA. When did the FIA become the final arbitrator of everything motorsport? As the series is currentyl being raced in America, Europe and Asia, it already has met the requirement to be an international championship.
I do agree that both sides of the coin should reconcile and form a common set of rules that encourages the most participation of the current and future racing squads.
