The Ford in STCC raced only a few (two or three) races and was entered privately, no factory support at all.
The Volvos on the other hand, Redshoes, is payed by Volvo. The Volvo team had the largest budget of all the STCC teams, 14 milion swedish kronor (1 UK £ = around 13 swedish kronor). 10 milion came straight from Volvo and the rest from Flash Engineering.
