"They" were Bruton Smith and SMI that moved the race. It was not Nascar.

I see one of the Martinsville (ISC) races moving to Road ATL in a few years.

Not a chase race, but a Cup road race in the Southeast. It a no brainer for them. And the crowd would be "Petit" like if not bigger.

Also, Lainer has been for sale for over a year now and is looking pretty run down. You can blame Nascar "prime time" racing for that.
