I was going to suggest V6 Cortinas too but even though a V6 conversion for the Mk 1 was fairly popular even before Jeff Uren's 'Savage' Cortinas, I'm not sure any were raced in a meaningful way.
The only one I can think of is the ex Team Lotus/ex Alan Mann Mk 2 CTC 24E that was raced in [?] Northern Saloons at Croft by Martin Sledmore with a V6 with chopped bulkhead and so forth - early 70's I think
Anyone know any more about that particular car during that period??
