I believe it to be possible. Both the new Courage and Lola were designed as a LMP1 and 2 car. All they need to do is add the Carrera GT engine, strengthen the rest around it, fit wider tires and if needed ballast the car to 925 kg. There is more to it of course, but the rules were made to make it possible.
