Nortad should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi guys.

Sorry to ressurect this thread from the dead, but I been reading it has I just bought a 75 to convert to the track and Id like to give my 2 cents about it

Part of the problem with the 75s lack of pace compared to the rest of the field was that it wasnt a new car, because the cash strapped Alfa Romeo couldnt afford a completely new car or a heavy investment in its racing programme and so its nothing but a rebody of its predecessor, the 1977 Giulietta, and the mechanical layout isnt what we would call ideal to face the M3 and the Sierra RS500

From 1987 till 1991 the car changed massively: hubs, displacement on turbo engined cars, rear outboard brakes instead of inboard, suspension design was miles apart, etc... and because of those changes, later in life it became a front runner in the Italian Superturismo, when Alfa Romeo was already in bed with Fiat and could spend a bit more
