It all depends on the size of the hybrid system. We don't know if Porsche will go for the 2 MJ or the 8 MJ hybrid option, or for one of the other options (i.e., 4 MJ, 6 MJ). If they pick the 2 MJ hybrid option, they might not need the power density of supercapacitors; in that case a much lighter lithium ion battery might be a better choice.
