Lola should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
2nd in mono 1600 championship

Whaayyyyyy!!!

I have just finished second in the monoposto 1600 championship!!!

I was 12 points behind the leader going in to the penultimate round at Cadwell to day, with
win= 15pts
2nd= 12pts
3rd= 10pts.........
And still all to play for.........except,

I didn’t go.

I ran out of money this year but I am more than happy with second, as my challenger for that position didn’t score.

Monoosto 2000 next year.....Watch out!

funny isnt it, whenever i talk to circuit racers the costs are one of the first things mentioned, with entry fees apparently being the worst culprit. congratulations on your second place, a year long championship is hard work, and a good result requires consistency.
i race a grand prix midget and i am just reaching the end of a 20 meeting season and i am in third place 2 points behind the second place man; however i will be at the final meeting to compete over the THREE races we get each meeting. cost is not an issue,not because i am well off, but because a seasons single seater racing in gp midgets costs me less that £2000 including the petrol for my tow car. yes circuit racers, NO entry fees, three races per meeting, friendly racers and good competitive racing. take a look at www.gpmidgets.co.uk and see how reasonable racing can be. now anyone can afford to race

Well done there Lola!

It's interesting to think what might have been if you had enough money though...

But still - hope you do just as well ion Monoposto 2k next year!
