I've always thought that the chassis should be first. Like Reynard Mercedes... but on CART's site they talk about Ford Lolas....

I prefer to hear about Reynard-Hondas and Lola-Fords, but with the new rules and substantial backing from Ford, we'll probably hear Ford-Lola next year.

I always put the chassis first -- McLaren Mercedes, for example. On the other hand, there's the Winfield Williams and the BMW Williams.

Yeah the BMW Williams thing is one which annoys me, I remember Martin Brundle saying that the team has to legally be called Williams BMW but the car is a BMW Williams. It's got to be Reynard Honda.

I dunno. It had always been like that, like Lotus Ford, like Penske Cosworth, like March Cosworth... In the last 2 or 3 years, I've seen more and more of Ford Lola and Honda Reynard...

Note: I know the engine wasn't a Winfield in the 1997 Williams. But the Supertec was so handbaggy that they might have been faster if they'd been powered by Winfields.

And also Benetton changed the name of Mecachrome/Supertec for Playlife... The Benetton Playlife.
