Cadence should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone use a PRG Tracsporter or BJ Sprint Shuttle for their MGB Racer?

I'm looking to buy a covered trailer for my B racer. I've narrower it down to these two - smaller PRG TracSporter or Brian James Sprint Shuttle . Slight nagging doubt about how easy it will be to tie it down, bearing on mind it seems you have to do this through a small front door(s)? I've discounted the clam shell variants as I cannot get a tyre rack in one of those due to the height of my bonnet.

Has anyone else used one of these for a B and would you recommend one?

Many thanks

Yup, I do. It also carries my Capri, although not simultaneously. It's a Brian James RS6 and tie-ing down the car is very easy. You have big side doors too don't forget. Mine has the winch, internal lighting, storage box and tyre rack. It is also for sale.

I use a Sprint Shuttle to transport my FIA B.

Once in, it's only a couple of minutes to get everything tied down

Also, I can just about drive it in and get out of the car :-)

An electric winch is a must.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback on the Sprint Shuttle. Do you use the winch to secure the front end and straps for the rear wheels or is it straps all round? Cheers

Straps all round. It really isn't difficult.

I use the manual winch at the front and straps through
the rear wheels. With the wheel chokes and having the
car in gear/handbrake on it is pretty secure.

A friend is selling his, if you are not looking for a new one.

I've run a Sprint Shuttle for about 5 years for a Midget, MGB , Grantura and Marcos (tight) and I'd highly recommend it. I tie down at the front using the towing eye as I don't trust the winch not jumping or slipping. I have moveable built in chocks and there's enough room for two fuel cans either side with the MGB in. No way can I get out with the MGB in the box though.

BTW I'm not sure I'd leave it in gear with the gears chattering as it moves about on its suspension especially on a 3 sync gearbox.

Its not a dignified exit, but more than possible.

I will take on board the gearbox advice!

Thanks everyone - now have all my questions answered - I'll now compare the offers from PRG & BJ and put my money down. I'm now sure that both products will do the job nicely.

Just need to tell the wife I'm buying a caravan without windows!

Cheers

Very good Terence!

we're looking for a new trailer . . . . that fits in our 'other' lock up . . .8' doors. . . current one is 8' wide, as witnessed on both doors and all 4 wheel arches!!!

can't think of anything better than a BJ . . .unless anyones got any better suggestions ???
