Great news, albeit for only one race!

The name of the team and the name of the sponsor seem somewhat ironic, though.

One-off sponsors like this (which we've also seen at other events) prove the strength that CART enjoys in its individual venues.

Unrelated to ASTJ, but the Australian race has just picked up another presenting sponsor, as Duracell (Gillette) now has naming rights to pitlane. Apparently they're going to dress all of the palm trees around the pits to look like giant batteries. Already they are the title sponsor for the V8's.

Guys, you have no idea how much sponsorship the gold coast race has. Australian companies are banging down the office doors to get involved with this race. So yes Macdaddy Cart does have alot of pulling power in certain areas, and one of those areas is the GOLD COAST!!!!

Ever been to the Southwestern United States?

But seriously I expect that most American companies are heavily involved in NA$CAR and probably think American Spirit is a deodorant.

I think ASTJ may have posted the wrong website address.

www.gonher.com goes to an audio equipment distributor company and does not mention anything about auto parts.

After doing a quick web search, I think I found the correct website.
Gonher Auto Parts

Sent an email to ASTJ about the links in case they are wrong. Wouldn't want them to tick off the new sponsor.
