Either you need to get closer, or get a longer lens. Then use a slower shutter speed and learn to pan! Now,I'm no expert at bike photography, only having a go the other weekend at Snetterton for the first time in many years, I thought I did pretty good (but no expert!!)

Point taken.
lens used was a 70-210 f2.8 with x2 converter, I don't have much use for very long lenses as a wedding photographer. Regarding shutter speed and panning, I am capable of this but looking back I think I played it "to safe" with higher speeds.

Thank you for your comments, are your other shots you took at the Snetterton event on-line? Love to look through them.

Some other images, straight out of the camera, could maybe do with a boost in saturation.

Maybe it's a good idea to zoom out occasionally & include a little bit of background, other competitors, etc? Too many photographers seem to think that the only good motorsport photo is a clinical closeup of the car/bike, with no clue as to which circuit it was taken at, how close the racing was, etc. It's called 'atmosphere'! Closeups have their place, but not exclusively....take a look at what MN, etc., use!

I would agree with that, and pratice that often in many of my 'car' pictures, but in the case of the Anglesey photos I think SRPhoto, in a great many shots, is too far away. Maybe some time needs to be spent 'cropping' if the orignal files have the resolution.

All originals are taken with one of my D200's so cropping for 10x8 should be fine.
