Revolutionary new firesuit material debuts

Yesterday in the season finale NHRA drag race, a representative from Oakley, sponsor of the Scotty Cannon funny car, debuted a new material for fire suits that looked very impressive. A test was performed with a 2800 degree F torch with standard Nomex. It took about 8 seconds for the material to finally begin to smolder and then to burn. The new material refused to burn even after 30 seconds under the flame. The material was placed on the palm of his hand in a standard layer used in a racesuit and he felt no damaging heat from the torch after 30 seconds. The material is lighter, and wicks moisture from the skin, keeping a driver cooler and removing the chance of severe scalding in a fire as sweat is flashed into steam. This new material could revolutionize fire suits in motor racing.

http://www.carboncloth.com

This is supposed to be a web site pertaining to a company that sells protective equipment made from 'activated carbon' cloth.
My flash plugin isn't working, so I couldn't browse the site. Maybe someone else can tell me if I got it right :-)
