Where Teleplus Kenko 2X NAF Converter (UK)

Having visited Silverstone for the race weekend, I really feel the need to have a longer lens. I have a Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 and found that I was unable to fill the frame with its rather limited focal length.

Therefore I'm thinking of buying either a 1.6X/2X teleconverter to use with this lens. I'm not too keen on buying a brand new lens and thought maybe the converter is the most effective way for the occasional motorsport shots.

I have heard very good thing about this Teleplus Kenko 2X with its 7 elements and however find it almost impossible to get one in the UK. DO you guys know where to locate one? I'm after new or second hand. I'm sure it's much better than the Jessops one for £79.99.

Jacobs in Liverpool do it for about 80 quid, http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/produ...roductId=4170. They do mail order. I use the Jessops 2x and it is quite decent.

Thanks for the link! Do you have pics with your Jessops2X TC if you wouldn't mind? Many thanks.

Here's a few from the LMES at the weekend. They're all taken from the luffield enclosure through catch fencing using a canon 75-300 f4-5.6 on full zoom with the 2x convertor using manual focus. There is some distortion on the images from the scans and they are only at around 400 dpi to keep size down, can post higher res if you want.

Thanks for these pics. I could clearly see the advantage of having a TC which I currenly lack with my outfit. Great pics - you have good composition and they are all very interesting.

You mentioned the scan was not so good, did you scan it from negatives? I wouldn't mind seeing a larger res version of the Audi pic above if you have it handy. Many thanks for your assistance. Terry

Terry, thanks for the compliment. The scans are from the prints, but my scanner is getting on a bit now. I've started a fotopic gallery at http://matthew7686.fotopic.net/c263248.html. There is a nice high res copy of the audi uk pic on there at i think 1200 dpi and some more pics, i'll be posting a few more over the nxt couple of days.
