Flavinha should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Site about A1 GP

Does anyone here know a good website with news about A1 GP?

It is hard to find some news about the series (Autosport is one that has a lot of news but I don't have the password ).

Thanks!!!

Yes, I go there often, however, it does not give such fresh news, the lat ones being from the Germany race (and that is 2 weeks ago!!! )
The individual team sites are intersting though!!.

I have also visited gpmasters.com which is the official dite for the gp masters which is starting on 13th Nov in South Africa.

for some reason, the Estoril preview did not go up until today - their press office doesn't usually miss like this.

All the teams have to produce 4 press releases each weekend - one preview and one at the end of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They normally come out around an hour after flag down unless there is anything contencious that needs signed off.

Pakistan, GB and USA are normally the first with the news out.

Pitpass.com is the best independent source of news. Plus it's free.

The A1GP website is pretty pitiful. Hard even to get a timetable for each weekend and the live timing doesn't seem to work. Maktoum really needs to take a lesson from Ecclestone - his f1 site is amazing for the information you can get. Also do each of the teams have their own web site or is everything run through the micky mouse A1GP Site. Really surprised to hear that Maktoum has spent $250 m to develop the series. Looks like he spent $5,000 on the website. Get it sorted!

The F1 site isnt really a great example of a top motorsport series website. IMO. Something like www.gp2series.com however is, it has just about everything. Apart from live timing and scoring. If the Sheik could get the A1 site anything like that in terms of quality then it would be very very good. IMO. That said the A1 site isnt really THAT bad, I know of top international racing series with worse websites.

The F1 site is a great example of a motorsport website. The cross referencing links between drivers/teams/races is truly amazing. You can find anything you want with once easy click. The A1GP site is hard to navigate and it is even harder to find simple information that you need such as for example this weekend's timetable. If I have missed it it must be because when I click on the circuit map of Estoril or Estoril on the Calendar guess what? No Timetable (With links to the results of each session/qual/race as it happens). A1GP has been planned for what? 2 years. For instance try finding the sporting regulations from the website itself (not the Summary) but the full version.

Also why no official press conference like F1 where members of the press can ask drivers and teams interesting questions to add some human element to the whole series. Boring pre race press releases are just that - boring!

Thanks!!!! I go to A1 GP to the timing but I want a site with news. There isn't a good one with all news. Pitpass, Crash.net are good but don't have all news about the series and a1gp.com isn't good either about that...
