Hampton Downs McLaren Festival - on Sky Sports

I noticed yesterday (27th Aug) that this years Bruce McLaren Festival was featured on Sky Sports (either 3 or 4) on the 'Race World' programme. I missed the start of it but captured most of it on Sky+ and watched it later - quite good, probably about 15-20 mins in all. Included a brief interview with Eoin Young and some of the drivers. It showed sections of two races - the first was described as 'Historics' and won by Roger Wills. The second was a 60's sports / saloons and GT race.

I don't know if it going to be repeated but they stated that more from the Festival will be featured on next week's 'Race World' which I think is at 1300 hours (BST) on Friday 3rd Sept.

They only showed some of the classes here in NZ - presumably those where they had raised some sponsorship money at the last minute, when the primary TV sponsor pulled out. Hope you enjoyed it!

January 2011 is the Chris Amon Festival, with both weekends at Hampton Downs, where the facilities for competitors were so much better than at Pukekohe.
