Blancpain endurance series 2012
I thought it was time for a thread for the rumors for next years BES. Seeing how successful this years championship was I am looking forward to next year and I expect new entries and drivers, maybe even new brands.
Calender
April - Monza, Italy
June - Silverstone, Great Britain
July - Paul Ricard, France
July - Total 24 Hours of Spa, Belgium
September - Germany (circuit TBC but likely Hockenheim or Nurburgring)
October - Barcelona, Spain
(No dates to avoid clashes with world gt, gt3, adac gt masters etc)

Boutsen Energy Racing acquired two McLaren MP4-12C. What will the program?
"We will be in Blancpain Endurance Series. We will receive a car at the end of the second year and early 2012. It is not intended that we be present at the 24 Hours of Dubai except as a service provider. "

the car is good enough if we talk about qualifying lap but the CRS team and mclaren really need to work on engine reliability

With thanks to the newly published British F3 calender for 2012 we now know one more date:
14/15 April - Monza
2/3 June - Silverstone
30/1 July - Paul Ricard
28/29 July - Spa
TBA September - Hockenheim
TBA October or November - Barcelona
Monza coincides with the opening round of the French GT Tour @ Spa (another SRO ´affiliated´ series?), while Silverstone is gonna clash with the Le Mans 24 test day. That will undoubtedly dissapointment a couple of (French) teams. Dates still provisional though.

DKR (that ran 1 of the 2 Corvettes in the GT1 WC) is also aiming to participate with 2 cars - they´ve tested 2 different brands but have still to make a choice.

Trackspeed has announced they will be racing in Blancpain next season in both the pro and pro-am category. Seems unlikely that Richard Westbrook will still be driving for them since JRM has a GT3 car now.

Not necessarily - it was said at the 2012 press conference at Silverstone that the BES would have the same support package (Super Trofeo,Blancpain GT Revival and Supercar club) at each round and all rounds would be 2 day events also, so dont jump in just yet, wait til its confirmed

well this is the announced calender for the Lambo Trofeo championship which is meant to be a support (along with the 20 year old club porsches that will show up for the GT90 take 2 series & the 2 hour trackday session for supercar owning club members).
April/May, Italy which ties in with the above F3 Monza date
3 June Silverstone, UK interestingly, Brit GT has announced their calender and are at 'Stone in September
1 July Paul Ricard HTTT, France
29 July Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
16/23 September Hockenheim/Nürburgring, Germany ADAC German GT is at Nürburgring on 16th September, so that's a giveaway too
October/November Barcelona, Spain November 11th is the GT Open's date at circuit de Catalunya
and yes, that is the same 3rd of June that is the Le Mans test weekend...
