HSCC Autosport 3hr Meeting 9th/10th June 2012

Well the sun finally arrived back at Snetterton today, so prompted me to think about our annual sun-fest at the superb HSCC Autosport 3hr meeting.

Will be another brilliant meeting with the main 3hr race and the usual mixture of great support races over the weekend.

So....who is planning to be there to entertain the team in orange and the many spectators and hopefully not keep those of us in RC too busy?

Looking forward to this highlight of the Snetterton season and catching up with you all.

Terry

Hi Terry, sadly 'Team North Walsham' are not doing the three hours this year, and having just done the '360' maybe a short race or two would be nice...... In which case could well be out in FF2000 with the Delta. Today it moved into the 'priority' prep bay as Lairy Canary moved out!

Fingers crossed will be there & on track, it is always a great weekend!

Well, if all goes to plan we're going to bring along a very shiny E-type although still looking for some fairly fundamental bits.

I've got the TR5 entered in Roadsports, but it's not running great, despite throwing yet more money at it. It'll be out if I think it's going to run properly.

We have a Championship race and a 'Handicap' race, don't think any of us have done one before, not entirely sure how it works and no idea who's going to play "Ebby" Ebblewhite ... but I would like to point out to him/her that those Elans really are very very quick ... I'm sure it's not gone unnoticed!

It will be a late entry if it happens...... Will be talking to Iain tomorrow about gear ratios, for starters! Have got new Avons fitted.

BH Super Prix is a must, if only to see how much faster I can get round than do in the Escort!

Looking through the entry list for the 3hr,it looks as though there are two vip drivers in a shiny e type entered.

Alex finally took the Turner Award shield to Timpsons yesterday to get it engraved from last year!
I will be back to defend (and more likely pass on) the award but Alex will be at Rockingham that weekend so I shall either compete on my own or find a mate to share the Merlyn.
I am testing at Silverstone tomorrow and really looking forward to driving it again. Sadly I had to pull my entry for the HSCC race on Saturday.

Race is a non championship round of HSCC Guards trophy, so caters for sports / GT cars from FIA periods E & F, plus invited sports racers up to end of '68. All on Dunlop tyres. Nice race, sorry not to be doing it this year. B8 a good bet for a win.
