Interesting entry list, some pretty quick drivers there, not least Pizzonia, Zonta and the Sperafico cousins arent bad too. Good entry for a national Championship.

Too bad that Pizzonia, Zonta, Burti, Negrao, Sperafico not very often fought for series championship, this series has not been easy for former F1 and F3000/GP2 drivers. Burti is perhaps the best of them, because he has been able to win in previous years.

Just officially announced that Round 8 will be moving from Campo Grande to the reworked Cascavel circuit by time zone issues (Campo Grande is GMT -4 while Brasilia is GMT -3). Here is the new schedule from now:

August 26 - Salvador
September 16 - Cascavel
September 30 - Tarumã
October 21 - Curitiba
November 11 - Brasilia
December 9 - Interlagos (R$ 1 million prize money + double points)

Rubens Barrichello has signed up for the Race of Million later this year. The event, featuring stock cars in his native Brazil, will see the Formula 1 turned IndyCar driver competing for charity at Interlagos. It will take place on Sunday 9 December. The Paulista will race with the Medley/Full Time Sports team in what will be the last round of this season’s Brazilian Stock Car Championship. As well as being the most likely event to crown this year’s Champion in the series, the individual race will also offer one million Brazilian reals (just over £300,000) to the winner.
