looks like someone designed the livery like a skin from a game, forgot to turn of the wireframe guides before turning in the design, and they added it to the final livery...

Looks dumb. The pure orange car was a masterstroke, even if it looked red on TV.

Spectators watching the racing tend not to see the cars up close. It's an old mistake. The car needs to look good on the track, not in the garage.
