Thanks you're very kind. Can't get the commentary to work yet but the live timing is up and running. BIL was doing brilliantly but has dropped back a bit. Can't get regular phone updates as the team are so busy. Thanks again - Annette xx

I couldn't get live timing to work even though I went to java.com to load their latest, I tried timing on a different pc & it works fine. On the pc that works I get a little Java platform icon, don't know what the difference is?

Maybe try uninstalling java in add/remove programs, and reinstalling it. Shouldn't need a restart, but on some pc's it might.

Also try a faster browser like firefox, or opera which is probably the fastest.

Figured it for ie7! Java wasn't enabled even though I'd reinstalled it & closed/ reopened browser window. Go to tools, options, programs then manage add-ons. Scroll down to Java & make sure it's enabled, you may have to reopen browser afterwards.

Safety car is inside the top 60, but doesn't look like it will do as well as it has over the past couple of years.

Top gear running in top 40.

Frustrating that pit stops take so long - makes it impossible to work out relative positions.

2.15? That was 7 minutes before you posted? Although it looks like they are now back circulating under the safety car

I live about 15 miles away and its pretty foggy at the moment. (I woke up and couldn't sleep so thought I'd take a look at whats going on.

Its under safety car, most likely the fog. Happened last year.

Would running the race a bit earlier in the year give us a better chance of actually being able to run 24 hours?

Maybe. Although this is the first time for a while that I've noticed fog in the morning. Having said that if it were in the middle of summer then there would be a lot less of a chance of being ruined by fog.

Listening to the radio it sounds like they actually stopped the race totally! Didn't realise that!

They went into parc ferme during the fog. Rollcentre were mega, dived into the pits, changed brakes and did a full service before SC got back to pits with the grid following into parc ferme.

After 4hrs behind the SC last year they decided that they didn't want the same this year so all teams knew at the start that they would suspend the race if fog came down.

I spent most of yesterday there (left at midnight) as some mates are running the Lotus Exige which was as high as 4th overall after 2 hours, but has dropped down quite a bit after a few issues.

This was it in for a new steering arm and wheels after a coming together with a slower Honda Civic.

The Morgan & Aston who are in the garages next door.

Top Gear finished third in class.
And for info, the three presenters all have National B licnces, while Stig has an International B.

Apparently four different Stigs signed on, presumably to add to the air of mystery.
