I liked the blue and orange too , but this is a nice change , you gotta admit ?
Hopefully the red in the livery will help it go faster .
Thats what Rich07, Dani & Arakis would have you believe anyway .
Hope that little Spyker does real good this season . They stick with it , put on a decent show and deserved that 5th in France last year .
Im not Dutch , but Im proud of them !!! ..... and I wear a Spyker cap too .

Most say very good drive from the Spyker pilots. Compared to their lap record they were one of the teams that were the most consistently close to their fastest pace.

And the details for the pretty black and red machine of last weekends Spa race:
http://www.planetlemans.com/2010/05/...yker-squadron/
As we saw,the Spyker really ran like clockwork, spitting two simultanious arm long flames at exactly the same spots around the track.
It really was joy to see. They could do really well at Le Mans this year for this is the best developed car ever to come out of the squadron. Add to this the really fine driver line up and a bit of luck, maybe even a podiumfinish!

Don't... jinx... them! Are you trying to prove that Commmentator's Curse is a generalised phenomenon on forums nowadays?

Do you guys thing that if a second Spyker is granted an entry for Le Mans they will enter the car? Will they have the resources and money to enter a second car?
I have a strong feeling that a second chassis will have to receive a lot updates because the last few years they only raced with one car.

my thoughts also...
Even though I would love to see two spykers at Le Mans, I still think that they cannot run a two car effort financially.
Maybe they can slot in the engine of this saab

no, but seriously, the Spyker has been welded together with love, hope they do welll again this year.

Hi Everyone,
I am new here.
Spyker already confirmed at Eurosport during the race at Spa that there second car is ready to run, but they do not really expect that another entry will fall. The car they used at Le Castellet and Spa is a new chassis, last year chassis' is catching dust in de Spyker workshop. You can see them in this movie: http://vimeo.com/10744359

Hi Thomassie, as far as I know they are still racing the chassis they used last year (and the year before).
The Spyker with SNORAS livery on the right is a Spyder (no Laviolette) and they used this car for a 1000 km race in Lithuania. The one in the front left (#94) is the ex-Speedy Racing car and so they just gave the car from last year a new livery.
On www.spykerowner.com you can find a list of all the Spyker Squadron racing chassis.

AX lover is correct. The chassis in use this season is in fact the same car that ran in 2008/2009.
The second Laviolette you see in the video is the chassis that Speedy Racing ran in the Le Mans series in 2008.

The article is in Dutch, but in the article Mike Hezemans says they won't race at Le Mans because the Corvette burned out at the Silverstone GT1 race, and they can't get it fixed in time.
Why there is only the PeKa Corvette on the 24H Le Mans entry list, and what the Phoenix Corvette which burned down has anything to do with it, I don't know, I guess PeKa gave their entry to Phoenix, or something. But that does mean the 2nd Spyker entry is in?

Nope, the withdrawal of the Pekaracing/Phoenix/Carsport Corvette was announced alongside the two Pescarolos, and it allowed a block of three cars in: KSM's Lola, the second Matech Ford and the second AF Corse Ferrari. The second Spyker will not be at Le Mans, the final entry list has already been published without it; it's still the only reserve left, but it's only the reserve entry and the deadline for it to get in the race has passed.
Perhaps Pekaracing made a deal to use that car and its drivers (I think Anthony Kumpen was the designated driver), so since the deal was concerning that exact chassis, and they weren't able to fix it in time...
