1991 Australian Group A Touring Car Racing - Discussion & Results
The 1991 season was marked by a decline in economy and reduced grids at most races - a follow up on the first Gulf war, that also afflicted the rest of the world of motorsport. The Fred Gibson Nissan Skylines were all dominant, with a young Mark Skaife really coming off age, but with teammate Jim Richards taking his fourth ATCC title. Holden offered a brand new package in the Commodore VN, luring back the Brock-Perkins constellation, while BMW made a return with ..Frank Gardner managing once again. Among the Sierras the Seton family had the legs on the DJR cars in most races.
