Interesting that they have only issued proceedings for damages. If VEEGA were really confident of their position they would have applied for injunctive relief. This would have required VEEGA (presumably it's directors) to put up an undertaking for damages in case VEEGA was unsuccessful. Clearly they must have some doubts on how robust their case is.

I would guess that he probably recognizes that having an interest in the "business" of V8ST, and also being a car owner, is a conflict of interest in many eyes.
Or perhaps it's just too much to be running a car and the series at the same time. I don't think "giggle" really says much unless you care to elaborate. |

Well I'm not a lawyer but I would doubt owning one of the 20 cars would make any difference. There were several directors who left NZV8's who own V8ST's, and their cars aren't for sale.

Ah, I know now too. It was never the intention for him to be both owner and director and rule maker, it was just a convenient solution at the time to work as a placeholder of sorts.
They are very aware of the conflict of interest it would create otherwise. |

You snooze you lose. This is so sour grapes. When will Mr Tullouch wake up and see that its the MSC that have wrecked NZV8 (and the rest of the premier sport for that matter) as they sat on their butt for years and the governing body watched them, now they pay 40k for a dead horse that you kiwis have to pay for. I am hearing that a certain little dwarf from hamilton has his fingers in the ink here as well. One NZ V8 has been sold the rest is all crap and thats what they thought what was happening to V8ST, hot air. Now they know they are wrecked.

Support Classes entry list http://www.v8st.co.nz/images/media/S...ruary17-19.pdf
Would of expected more in the CC myself, but a good turn out of Muscle Cars and Honda's. |

Not sure that Challange cup entry list is current and correct.
We were not on it till yesterday. Inkster not on list? But is running I am sure of 14-16 cars Will eat my hat if required. But would hope to see the numbers there. Quick time from chambers today in testing at Hampton! First time driving a Nzv8, only just off the pace of Kayne Scott in same car. note a few issues with quaife boxes last friday at tourer testing. Hope all teams have resolved by tomorrow. |

Why does everyone regard the V8ST and NZV8 competitors.
The two series don't run simultaniously, and nothing stopping a competitor running both classes, should funds allow. Should top drivers and their sponsors prefer one class over another then why is the class crucified. MSNZ obviously accept that the two classes can run happily together, or they wouldn't continue putting members money into the development of the NZV8 chassis, 3rd chassis now completed by MRX. |

Agree in what u say stockman, obviously NZV8 have a problem as they have called in the heavies from their pathetic promotional company, the sport and now their lawyers. Note the only music playing here is from the NZV8 side. They have continually baggesd V8ST but the train has now left the station. Wish I was over their for R1

Ah the bs that runs in the thread cracks me up so much!
the truth is starting to show! Certain members of a committee given a task by MSNZ used MSNZ funds and research to come up with an idea and a plan then split and tried to rip off some aussie COTF ideas and MSNZ intellectual property. Now MSNZ have sorted their case and the now is happening. Now before you jump to conclusions and rant at me about bs. I don't think all those involved have acted dishonestly. Just some key players. WHo have always been dodgy. No chocolate fish for guessing who. |

MSNZ have not sorted their case, the press release and impending action was by VEEGA. MSNZ have no input into the action, although probably wish they could. |

Stockman, it has been clearly stated by members of MSNZ and presented on TV when I was at round 1 they have intervened and purchased the IP of the car.
I believe the weather was fine in southland today. |

I would have thought that the guy who actually designed & built the cars would be more of a "conflict of interest" than anyone since he has become a part owner of a team...
