Please correct me, I thought Porsche ended their effort in the VLN, meaning no works drivers and no facotry support this season !

manthey team decided to move to gt-open retiring as official porsche team in VLN (the yellow/green gt3r/gt3rsr cars won't run this year in VLN and surely won't be also in 24H) but still remains in VLN to support some private team as they did in the past.

Your are right but they changed their mind a bit. There will be no real works support from Porsche, only the usual customer support. But the factory drivers are allowed to drive. Which driver in which car is not clear at the moment.

Great to see Aston there with the new Vantage and Turner and Mucke alngside the Stuck brothers.
But that lineup in the Corvette is brilliant. Im guessing that Milner is the only one that doesnt have experience at the Ring?

He has driven the ring a few times last year including the 24 with Schubert.

Schubert is the official BMW Motorsport team for N24 not too sure about status of Vita4One, they might be supported but not as much as Schubert?

That is correct. Maoam/Haribo have a deal in place to race in the 24hrs with those drivers. The deal includes hiring Daniel Keilwitz (from Callaway Competition), Magnussen, and Milner. Westbrook will be there for the 24, as Haribo UK is one of his sponsors. Look for the car to only have sponsorship from them (not even Bilstein logos), as they are the primary sponsor for this car.

208 cars went out in morning practice & although times are pretty much pot luck in VLN, it's good to see the P4/5 (14th) & Lexus (22nd) put on a good show.
Cars are on the grid & will be off on the pace lap any time now

hmm, the Haribo Corvette seems to have not managed to complete lap 1 - if it's not recovered, is Magnussen still able to do the 24?

I think there was a timing glitch - the Vette is showing in 12th.
Not a good race for Aston Martin, zagato has a tyre down & the Stuck car in the pits already.
Incredible start for the Mercs (especially Graf) had a 1-2-3 for a bit.
Couple of Audis in trouble early as well (14 -Mammerow & 44 - Raeder)

oh, ok - there it is! Yeah, not on timing screens.
Great start off the line for the Mercs, but I'm wondering if the Hankooks are lasting as well on the heavy SLS as they did on the Ferrari previously?

Can't believe it's just three weeks 'til the second best race of the year, time has gone by fast! The May date suits the 24 hours much better, too
Oh, nice to see P4/5 higher on standings, 10th now!

Problems for Mercedes on lap 9 - Rowe & Hankook (31) cars both off (unrelated) & out of contention.
So Olaf "I don't like the BOP so am taking my toys somewhere else" Manthey's car is leading again (after taking the win in the last round)
The P4/5 was running well inside the top 10 but has also seemingly had a problem.
