BRSCC North West Statement

I have been asked to publish the below public notice on behalf of BRSCC North West. The BMMC North West gives our full support to Tom and Margaret.

To all Marshals

BRSCC and particularly the North West Centre wish to apologise to any Marshals who may have been affronted or upset by the actions and attitude of our erstwhile Chief Marshal.

Whilst Alistair Garrett did many things for the care of Marshals, the things that will be remembered are the actions which did him no credit. Alistair has paid a heavy price for those actions, the Main Board have revoked his membership of BRSCC. For those of you who know him well this is severe blow, his involvement in Motorsport has been his life for 30 years and I personally will miss his support.

The recent business with tickets was the fault of Head Office not sending sufficient tickets meaning some people only got one ticket. HQ do not appreciate the fantastic support we do have from Marshals not all of whom are local to the Circuit and both BRSCC & BARC are immensely grateful for that support.

I have pointed out to HQ that we have this support and they in turn have agreed to let us have tickets in sufficient number in plenty of time.

For the next few meetings I will be handling Marshal ticketing and Instructions so you will have to forgive any errors I make. If I do make errors, phone or email and I will do my best (which can be pretty good) to remedy any problems that may arise. Margaret Simpson will be giving me her full support. Doesn’t she do a fantastic job for Marshals? I know you all appreciate her.
